Solving Relex Studio – R6031 CRT error message

Error: Runtime Error! R6031 – Attempt to initiliaze the CRT more than once. This indicates a bug in your application.

To fix the problem:

1. Open the Registry and browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers

Could also be:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers

2. Look for any keys with the Relex.exe path in them. (Below is an example from RegEdit)

UPDATE – Delete any Relex keys. For example, RelCvtWz.exe as you can see in the photo below. Some people have also had ‘Explorer.exe’ and ‘Iexplorer.exe’. These should also be deleted.
